Little Earth School Tuition and Fees for the 2008-2009 School Year

• Tuition (payable monthly)

  Bunnies (3 1/2 to 6 year olds)	$8860 per academic year--5 days $7530 per academic year--4 days
  Prairie Dogs (6 to 8 year olds)	$8860 per academic year--5 days
  Ravens (8 to 10 year olds)	$8860 per academic year--5 days

• Annual Fees

  Tuition Deposit	$200 per child
  Student Accident Insurance	$10 per child
  Materials and Field Trips	$300 per child
  Registration	$50 per child

• Afterschool (billed and payable monthly)

  $7 for the first hour or any part thereof

  $5 for every other hour, billed to the half-hour

  $275.00 per month for full-time afterschool (every day until 5:30 p.m.)

Teacher Student Ratio

Children learn in mixed age groups of 15 to 24 children with a low teacher student ratio of 1 to 7 or 8.

Hours of Operation

The school house opens at 8:00 a.m. The school day begins at 8:15 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m. every day except Friday. On Friday, dismissal is at 1:30 p.m. The aftershool program provides care until 5:30 p.m. every day.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is available for families in need of tuition assistance. To apply for financial assistance, parents must complete a financial aid application. All information given by parents to request aid is kept confidential. Applications are available in March; awards are made early in May for the coming school year.

Parent hours

Little Earth School is not a cooperative; however, parents are required to participate at the school. Each two-parent family is required to contribute 30 hours per year to the school. These hours can be completed in many ways including classroom activities, fundraising, and school maintenance and repair.
